God’s time is the right time

God is good all the time. He is the Father to the Fatherless. He is El Shaddai. He is God almighty who abundantly blesses with all manner of blessing. He hears the prayers of the righteous.  Psalms 5:12 “For you O Lord will bless the righteous; with favor, you will surround him as with a shield”. He has reminded me that His timing is the right time. I have been praying fervently for Him to show His greatness. There is a time when I thought my prayers have been held in the clouds somewhere and are not reaching to Him. Do not give up or give in the works of the devil. Do not let him fill your mind with doubt or negatives for he uses our minds as a battlefield. At that time when the prayer has not been answered, God might be working on you, prawning you, getting you ready for the ultimate.

Elijah prayed earnestly that it would not rain and it did not rain for three years and six months, James 5: 17. I made my request known to God specifically and I even wrote down what I needed and posted it on my refrigerator door to remind me that I am in waiting.

God’s time is the right time. Hallelujah

When you make, your request known to God, sometimes it is good to keep it to yourself to avoid negative response from people who might not understand your relationship with God. We live in a society whereby people tend to analyze and question everything. Sometimes those analyses might make you doubt the Word of God. As a Christian, you know with God, all things are possible. God can do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think per the power that worked in us. God knows the desires of our heart. He wouldn’t give us a stone when we ask for bread. He is our Father, He is loving and cares for His children. Good things come to those who wait. Praise God!
“God’s time is the right time”. Let’s look at the book of John 4:7
When the Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you give me a drink?”. Notice something here? Jesus asked the woman for water not the other way around. You don’t need to chase it around. The bible says, when the woman came to draw the water (John 4:8 His disciples had gone into the town to buy food) Jesus was by Himself.

God’s timing is the best.

If the disciples were there maybe they would have interfered in this miracle for the woman was known for a very bad reputation in town. Jesus and His disciples had just come to the city. Jesus was tired from the journey and He sat down by the well. We must be at the right place and in the right timing. God will unveil Himself.

The woman went to the well to draw water instead she got much more, including a cleansed and refreshed Spiritual life. Don’t we all want that?

Be specific with what you need and wait for that answer. When it finally comes, you feel it deep down in your heart that this is it. This is my prayer answered.
Let’s not be quick to move away because when the blessing comes, it won’t find you.
Do not do quick fixes because it will break in the long run.
Do not go for fast work, God is interesting in the deep work.
God gives us something that lasts.
When it is God’s time you will be at the right place.

Are you a purposeful worshipper

IMG_3264Matt 2:1-12
The three wise men were seeking Him because they knew He was the savior of the world.

*Are you actively seeking after Him

What would you do if you see the star?
Will you be able to leave everything to pursue the star?
He wants a deeper relationship with us. Are you saying God I want more of You? Many of us are waiting for God to pursue us instead of you pursuing Him. Have hunger for God.

*Are you a purposeful worshipper

The three wise men humbled themselves and bowed down and worshipped Him. They did not worship Him because of what He has done but they worshipped Him for who He is. He has done enough for us.
Like the three wise men, what gifts are you bringing to Him
What are you doing to give back to Jesus?
Whom do you mentor
Whom do you inspire
Do you honor Jesus with what you have?
Are you willing to change directions?
When you have encounter with Jesus, things change. He said to the three wise men go back with another route.

Do not procrastinate

IMG_3137

Recently I took courage and followed through with my doctor’s order and had mammogram done. I have been procrastinating this visit for the past year. Considering that I am at high risk through family history I was inclined to do the test as soon as possible. They say prevention is better than cure. There is no excuse for procrastination. Sometimes it is the result of laziness. I think a lot of us will identify with that. We delay things that we know should never delay.

Delay to offer your apology.
Delay to heal the broken relationship
Or dealing with anger.

Ephesians 4:26 In your anger do not sin; Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry.
There was a certain man who had so much anger towards his father. He felt like the father was not there in his life so everything negative in his life he blamed his father for it. As a Christian, he knew about God’s principles on forgiveness. One day he heard a preacher saying, ‘if you do not forgive those who hurt you, you are in prison of your own.’

The Preacher’s words tormented him so much that he really wanted to talk to his father. Well, it was too little too late, his father was in a terminal condition in the hospital. He wasn’t verbal anymore and could not recognize his surroundings. The young man felt so bad about procrastinating. Now he couldn’t get to tell his father that he loves him. Life is too short for hatred and all the evils that the devil wants us to dwell on.

Hebrews 3:12-13,15 See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But be encourage one another daily, if it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.
15, As has just been said ” Today, is hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion.”

Procrastinating is a bad habit — why? You never seem to do anything because you are never ready.
Never ready to get married
Never ready to have children
Never ready to go church

Anytime is not always the right time. I will give you another example. People who live in the State of Indiana will understand this. On snowy days, will you leave your house wearing open toes shoes? You don’t have to pray hard to figure out if you must wear comfortable and safe-to-walk shoes. Just like LIFE, we should find out what season we are in and live it appropriately.
Is it too late not to procrastinate? No, God can redeem your time.

Joel 2:25 I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten….
We serve a God who will always give us another chance. Be reminded that small things will hinder us from our relationship with Christ and procrastinating is one of them. Now I have taught myself to have a ‘to do list’ for each day. If I don’t accomplish it then I reschedule. This makes me stay focused and disciplined.
The results of the mammogram came through. Before opening the letter, I prayed and said, ” Let your name be glorified, you who formed me in my mother’s womb knows and cares about me. Thank You for these results.” Then I opened the letter.
Proverbs 27: Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth.
Let’s give our all to him the Lord of Lords.

Have faith

Luke 17:6 When the disciples asked Jesus to increase their faith, He said to them “if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree,’Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you”.

You see it takes little bit of faith to get things moving. You got to have faith. Maybe you’ve been praying for something for a while and you haven’t received it. It’s not because of how you have prayed or how long you have been praying for it, but do you have what it takes, do you have faith?

He is the Lord of impossibilities, even if you’ve been told it’s impossible. I just love it when God shows up in a situation whereby statistically it has never happened before. Have you ever experienced that?
Well that’s the God we serve.

You see we serve a God who can turn the water to wine.
Who divided the sea and let his people through.
Who multiplied the widows oil e.t.c
And above all, who died on the cross, and on the third day rose from the dead.
We serve a living God.
We serve a God, who is able to do immeasurable more than all we can ask or imagine.

The Word of God says faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God.
Who is the Word – Jesus
Don’t entertain the negativity that will lead to doubt. If you tell yourself you cannot have it, then you won’t, but if you trust God and tell yourself that you have it, then you have already claimed it, it belongs to you. Doubt and faith cannot work together . Once you doubt, you are opening the door to the enemy. You cannot remove obstacles without faith. Yes, maybe it’s been a long time coming but change is going to come.

Mark 5:28 The women with the issue of blood had faith. She told herself that if only I could touch the hem of His garment I will be healed, how great faith is that! She knew that she wouldn’t get His attention. It was so crowded, large crowd gathered around Him. Her only option was to touch the hem of His garment. What transpired thereafter was amazing, she immediately got healed and she felt free from all the suffering she had endured for the past twelve years. She had spent all her savings going to different doctors and instead of getting healed she got worse. But the minute she met the Lord and saviour, her life changed, the diagnosed illness vanished, her misery turned to joy because she was free from the bondage. It took her to have trust in God and have faith that she will be set free.
I encourage you, get closer to Him, just touch the hem of His garment, trust Him, have faith.

What you need to know

1. You have an enemy and he has a name – satan or devil

2. You are in a spiritual battle (Ephesians 6:12)

  • the devil is real
  • the devil is invisible
  • he is a murderer, a liar and a thief
  • he is crafty and scheming
  • 100% evil

His purpose is to keep Gods purpose from you. He seeks to replace God with himself in your life. He seeks to get you off track and out of the will of God in your life. He also tempts you and makes you doubt your personal relationship with God.

I am here to tell you, through Jesus Christ death on the cross and His resurrection He defeated the devil therefore we are no longer bound to the devils schemes. We are more that conquerors through Him who loves us.

The grief, suffering or pain is only for a season, the attack will come to an end. You can expect to be stronger in your spirit after you have resisted an attack of the enemy. The Word of God says put the whole armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil schemes.

The devil is real and his aim is to destroy you, to let you lose your focus. He cannot stand it, if you are determined and have enthusiasm for God. He will do anything in his power to destruct you. John 8:44 says he is a liar and the father of lies.

Today I want to talk about the Word ‘weapon’ that God gave us amongst all others. You see God will never leave you powerless or hopeless. He will never allow something to come before you that you cannot handle, AMEN. Luke 10:19 says God has given us authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.

2 Corinthian 10: 4-5 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.
Firstly get the knowledge of God’s truth in you. Fill yourself with His Word. Jeremiah 23:29 says His Word is like fire. Whatever you might face, say His Word. The devil doesn’t have power over you unless when you give him. Remind the enemy what the Word of God says. I tell you if the enemy realizes that you are all buckled up, you know the Word of God and you stand firm on it, he will flee from you.

Jesus Himself in Luke 1 was tempted by the devil for 40 days. Each time the devil tempt Him, Jesus will quote the Word of God. You need to renew your mind with the Word of God.

God sent His only begotten son into the world to save us. Jesus defeated the enemy on the cross and the devil knows it. We have been redeemed, we no longer in bondage. Jesus paid it all in FULL. As long as we are here on earth the enemy will try by any means to destruct you but no matter what he throws at you, know that you have the power, you have the weapons.

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds. They are spiritual. They come from God, recognize the enemy. Instead of walking in peace and joy, you will find yourself stressed and depressed. Humble yourself before God, Pray, Worship and Praise Him.

May God Bless You
