Esther’s boldness and courage

B94C2118-695A-4043-AA65-BE5219E9C5DCHave Esther’s boldness and courage then go for it. If God is in it you are covered, protected and secured. The Book of Esther demonstrates that God can use anyone to fulfill His purpose and to serve His purpose. What if you are the one who can save your family, your community or the world for that matter. God can sometimes put you in an awkward, difficult, unsettling even life-threatening situation for a purpose.
Esther took a bold move and risked her life, she was concerned about others security more than her own security. How often can we do that? Are we willing to go an extra mile to help and stand for those around us? How frequently can we put aside self and put other people’s needs first?
Esther had an option 1. To decline/ignore or 2. To take a risk and go for it. She was open for advice and willing to act upon it. God Has a purpose for the situations He places us. We need to trust Him and obey His Word. Where God leads He always provides. Isaiah 58:11 says; The Lord will guide you always, He will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.
Now Persian kings often held great banquets before going to war. Waging war was not only for survival, it was also a means of acquiring more wealth, territory and power. The king as the center of that power was one of the wealthiest people in the world during that time. Persian Kings loved to flaunt their wealth. So, King Xerxes threw a big party, the celebration lasted 180 days. When those days were over, the king gave enclosed banquet which lasted for seven more days. Meanwhile his wife Queen Vashti also gave a banquet for the women in the royal palace. Then on the last day of the seven days, King Xerxes commanded his servants to bring before him Queen Vashti so that he can show her off to the people but she refused to come and parade for the King and the people. Refusing the command of the King was against the law and once the law is broken consequences follow. King Xerxes had to issue a royal decree that Vashti shouldn’t never to enter the presence of the king ever again, she was burnished and her royal position was to be given to someone else, that is when we see Esther coming in.
The king was attracted to Esther more than any other women, he was taken by her beauty and character, she won his favor then he set a royal crown on her head and made her queen.
Have you find yourself in a situation that really doesn’t make sense to you but at the end of it you realize you went through it in a season for a reason to get you to the point where God wants you to be and then suddenly it makes sense to you.
Esther was an orphan, she lost her parents at a young age and her cousin Mordecai took upon himself to raise Esther as his own. God came through for Esther a nobody to somebody. Esther did not have a title after or before her name, she didn’t have a great status…BUT GOD hallelujah from an orphan to a queen how awesome and magnificent is that. It does not matter who you are or where you come from but when God wants to use you, He will use you hallelujah!
(Esther 4:1-17) When it was made known to Esther that not only Haman’s anger was directed to her cousin Mordecai but was also directed to all the Jews. Mind you Queen Esther never revealed her nationality and family background. How will she execute to ask the King to reverse the order commanded to kill all the Jews? When the order is issued it is unreversed it must stay forever. Esther then requested the Jews to gather together and fast for three days.
You cannot face challenges on your own strength, you need God’s intervention to guide you and protect you. God operates through our strength as much as through our weakness as well. Sometimes God puts you in a situation to act not just to sit and wait. Seek God more, His already in it and the victory is already on hand, only requires you to act.
When Esther finally made her petition known to the King, he not only agreed to spare her people’s lives but also honored Mordecai for the good deed when he exposed a plot to assassinate the King. It might look like your good deeds are not being noticed or acknowledged but God is the rewarder for those diligently seek Him. Hebrews 6:10 says; God is not unjust, He will not forget your work and the love you have shown Him as you have helped His people and continue to help them.
Now going back to Esther; In the book of Esther we learn that God has a plan for each one of us. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and future. What God placed in your heart, go for it. He has chosen you for such time as this….Hallelujah!
May God abundantly bless you!

Always make time to pray

49136A49-54A5-4E06-B415-54FA8C7B884C

I got up early one morning
And rushed right into the day;
I had so much to accomplish
That I didn’t have time to pray.
Problems just tumbled about me,
And heavier came each task;
‘Why doesn’t God help me?’ I wondered.
He answered, ‘You didn’t ask.’
I wanted to see joy and beauty
But the day toiled on gray and bleak
I wondered why God didn’t show me
He said, ‘But you didn’t seek’,
I tried to come into God’s presence;
I used all my keys in the lock.
God gently and lovingly chided,
‘My child, you didn’t knock.’
I woke up early this morning,
And paused before entering the day;
I had so much to accomplish
That I had to take time to pray.”

Family

Families can be one of the severe pull her/him down syndrome there is in somebody’s life I tell you. Just because they know you, they sometimes assume they have a right to down cast you every time. I witnessed an act of sadness when family members came head on accusing each other of not being supportive to one another. FAMILY no matter what – should always come first. First and foremost; love one another, support each other, celebrate one another, encourage each other and build one another. If your family is fenced with that strong bond of unity nothing can come in and try to destroy or divide. It starts within the family; how can you love a stranger when you don’t love your own family. Show the outside what is in the inside •••LOVE. Charity begins at home.
I encourage sibling bond and love all the time. It’s sad when I talk to young people and I hear stories like “I cannot get along with my sibling/s or I haven’t spoken with my sister or brother for years I mean how is that possible. God designed families, we need to fight for our families not to fight with our families. Talk things over rather than sweep them under carpet. I realized the causes of most family strain sometimes is unforgiveness. In most families there is bitterness, anger, hate and sometimes envy of which it not supposed to be. Once again let’s uplift our families and show support and love to one another.
Colossians 3:13 Bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
James 4:11 “Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.”
Proverbs 11:29 He who brings trouble on his family will inherit only wind, and the fool will be servant to the wise
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

Someone worth dying for (encouraging worship song)

You might be the wife,
Waiting up at night
You might be the man,
Struggling to provide
Feeling like it’s hopeless
Maybe you’re the son,
Who chose a broken road
Maybe you’re the girl,
Thinking you’ll end up alone
Praying God can you hear me?
Oh God are you listening?
Am I more than flesh and bone?
Am I really something beautiful?
Yeah, I wanna believe, I wanna believe that
I’m not just some wandering soul
That you don’t see and you don’t know
Yeah I wanna believe, Jesus help me believe that I Am someone worth dying for
I know you’ve heard the truth that God has set you free But you think you’re the one that grace could never reach So you just keep asking, what everybody’s asking
You’re worth it, you can’t earn it
Yeah the Cross has proven
That you’re sacred and blameless
Your life has purpose
And you are more than flesh and bone
Can’t you see you’re something beautiful
Yeah you gotta believe, you gotta believe
He wants you to see, He wants you to see
That you’re not just some wandering soul
That can’t be seen and can’t be known
Yeah you gotta believe, you gotta believe that you
Are someone worth dying for
You’re someone worth dying for

Faith in hard times

2874DF9F-62EC-472C-93B4-E96693BCB97E

Faith is like a chair trusting that it will hold you up when you sit down. So why is it hard to trust God sometimes when you are facing a difficult or challenging situation. You might be going through some hardships right. Losing a job, family matters or financial difficulties. The Word of God says in Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. You have faith on the chair and trusting that it will not make you fall. Same principle we need to apply in trusting God and taking Him at His Word, that is one true faith. For example, God told Noah to build an ark because there was going to be a massive flood.

Noah did just that and took God at His Word and built the ark. Faith is a necessity in Christians life, it is a complete trust and confidence in God not in anyone or anything else. There is no fear or doubt in faith. Faith is not a feeling that you turn it on or off whenever it is convenient for you. Faith in Jesus is a conviction that God loved us so much that He sent His Only Son to die and rise again on the third day for you and I. Faith is a result of believing the good news of the gospel of Christ. Consequently, faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of Christ Romans 10:17. The Bible says you cannot please God without faith. Regardless what you are facing today take God at His Word and have faith. Remember faith comes before your prayer is answered.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6

• And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. 2 Corinthians 9:8

• So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

 • These have come so that the proven genuinenesse of your faith–of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire–may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 1 Peter 1:7
